A crispy and creamy Tex-Mex-inspired dessert made by wrapping sweet cream cheese filling in a tortilla, frying it to golden perfection, and finishing it with cinnamon sugar and indulgent toppings.

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar (for coating)
- 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
- Optional toppings: vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, caramel sauce, chocolate syrup
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Spread filling across each tortilla and roll tightly like a burrito. Seal with a little water.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry each wrapped Xango for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden.
- Immediately roll in cinnamon sugar while hot.
- Serve warm, topped with ice cream, whipped cream, or your favorite sauce.
Notes
- Chill the filling for cleaner wrapping and better frying results.
- For a lighter option, use an air fryer at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
- You can use flavored cream cheese like strawberry or pumpkin spice for seasonal variations.
