Ingredients

- 1.5 pounds of beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thinly
- 1 cup of broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup of soy sauce
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup of water
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and water.
- Add the sliced beef to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender.
- During the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the slow cooker and stir.
- Serve hot over cooked rice.
Notes
For extra flavor, add some red pepper flakes for heat.
You can also use other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas!
