Recreate the restaurant favorite Longhorn stuffed mushrooms at home! These savory bites are filled with garlic herb cheese, topped with white cheddar and Alfredo, and finished with a golden Parmesan crust. For the Mushrooms:
- 1 lb white button mushrooms, stems removed
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
For the Filling:
- ½ cup garlic herb cheese spread (like Boursin)
- ½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley or chives
For the Base & Topping:
- ½ cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs or crushed croutons
- 1 tbsp melted butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean mushrooms with a damp towel and remove stems. Hollow slightly if needed.
- Lightly brush mushroom caps with olive oil or melted butter.
- In a bowl, mix garlic herb cheese, cheddar, cream cheese, garlic, and herbs.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the cheese mixture.
- Spread Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Place mushrooms on top of the Alfredo layer.
- In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan. Sprinkle over each mushroom.
- Drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden and bubbling. Broil for 1–2 minutes if needed.
- Garnish with extra herbs and serve warm.

- Use baby bellas or portobello for size variations.
- Add-ins like bacon, crab, or spinach can boost flavor.
- Don’t add breadcrumbs too early if prepping ahead — they’ll go soggy.
