Brussels Sprouts:
- 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2–3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Sweet & Spicy Glaze:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes or Calabrian chili paste
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp lemon juice or balsamic vinegar (optional)
Optional Toppings:
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Crispy bacon bits
- Chopped parsley or thyme
Instructions
Prep the Sprouts
- Wash, trim, and halve Brussels sprouts.
- Pat them dry thoroughly.
Roast or Air Fry
Oven:
- Preheat to 425°F.
- Toss sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread on a baking sheet, cut-side down.
- Roast 20–25 minutes, flipping once.
Air Fryer:
- Preheat to 400°F.
- Air fry for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway.
Make the Glaze
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Add honey, maple syrup, chili flakes, garlic, and lemon juice.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Toss and Serve
- Drizzle the glaze over hot sprouts and toss.
- Garnish with optional toppings and serve immediately.
Notes
- Dry sprouts completely before cooking for max crisp.
- Add glaze only after cooking to avoid burning sugars.
