Description

A carnivore diet classic, this ribeye steak seared in beef tallow is rich, fatty, and deeply flavorful. No carbs, no fuss—just pure satisfaction.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ribeye steak (11.5 inches thick)
  • 1 tbsp beef tallow
  • Sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Take ribeye out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Pat dry.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add beef tallow and let it melt completely.
  4. Season steak with salt. Sear for 3–4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  5. Rest steak for 5–10 minutes, then top with extra melted tallow if desired.
  6. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, dry-brine steak with salt 1 hour before cooking.
  • Use grass-fed tallow for added nutrients and richness.
  • Resting the meat is key—don’t skip it!
